Frazer Lake, Nashua, St. Marie

Next up is Frazer Lake. It would appear that the lake is dry in this picture, although here there is some evidence of water.

Around Nashua, you can see the old river beds. It does appear that these tracks are not all that old.

As you can see for Whately, which is along the railroad. As you drive along US2, you will see that where the railroad put a siding or a depot, the town that grew there is relatively prosperous. It would appear that there is no depot in Whatley.

If you were of a mind to take a little detour, you could take a right on Montana Hwy 24N which will shortly bring you to St. Marie. What makes St. Marie interesting, among other things, is the serious runway right next to town. This site used to be Glasgow Air Force Base, and we don't mean Scotland.
