Word of the day

Today's word is disintermediation. This comes up in regard to the Bernard Madoff (pronounced "MADE-off", appropriately) investment scandal. A recent online article said that the ones who were the worst hit are ones who did not use investment advisors, but went directly to the firm, using "disintermediation".
See if you can use the word in creative but proper ways today. Extra bonus points if you can sneak it into your Christmas letter this year.
