CT scan

A CT scan, commonly called a Cat scan is a way to get a 3-dimensional image of your innards (to use a medical term). These are perscribed to help diagnose things on the inside that we can't otherwise poke or prod. It is quite an advance over simple X-rays.

The linked article will tell you way more technical detail than you are ready for.

And there is a different kind of Cat scan.

So I send a second notification message, having forgotten to include the actual web site, saying "How about a URL?" and brother Lou responded with this.
