Happy endings

Did you ever wonder why it is that in our country we have a strong desire for stories with a happy ending? I certainly do.

If you look at movies, just as an example, all but a few have a happy ending. If it does not, it must be an art film.

Take as an example "The War of the Roses". Very much not a happy ending there.

Not all Western cultures have the tendency to the same degree. If you read Hans Christian Anderson, such as "The Little Match Girl", that is not what we would think of as a happy ending.

I think we should ponder this for a bit.

While we ponder, I am sure you have noticed the Harvest Moon. Well, here is a version of it called The Saguaro Moon (pronounced sa-war-oh). Pretty impressive. I am all about sunsets. More on that later.
