A bit of inspiration

I always tell people "Do what you love". Even if they don't necessarily ask.
Seriously, I have gotten myself into lots of trouble with this one. Probably starting when I was eight. The prevailing wisdom at the time was that you do what the boss tells you, cause as soon as you are not making him any money, he will dump you. Liking what you do was not any place on the list.
Much later, I was upbraided by one of my kids S. O. that "that is easy for you to say, as you are one of the 4% in the world that gets to do what you want". Well, I am not sure that is a useful way to approach the problem, and I do argue with the "gets to", as I feel that my fun at work is part of a long series of conscious choices in addition to luck.
Not that long ago, several of us kind of asked each other "what would you do if you had no fear" and that led to a number of interesting life decisions for three or four people.
So along this line, I came across this commencement speech from none other than Steve Jobs that I recommend as a point of reference.
Let me know what you think.
