The second day at the event begins with a visit to the Flea Market. This is really quite a sight. The market is set up outdoors in the parking lot of the local hockey arena (Hara arean). It takes the better part of a day to just walk up and down the rows, never mind stopping and checking out all the stuff on display. It ranges from used ham gear to interesting military surplus stuff like radar sets, instrumentation, parts for building radio kits, unidentifiable parts from radio eras long past, German Enigma machines, wonderfully preserved and restored ancient radio sets.

Sometime around noon, the great exhibit halls open their doors, and we go inside to see all the new radios, and other vendors of antennas, books, radio tower kits, and station accessories. Would you like to bounce a signal off the moon? You can find most all the stuff there, including computer operated radios.

In the evening, there are all sorts of social gatherings. Often I get together with hams from this area that I have seen perhaps once during the year.

So let's say you want to call a friend who is traveling in Singapore. You aren't too sure what time it is and you want to be sure that you don't wake him or her up. Or not. Check out time and date .com. Unfortunately, it doesn't have Conrad, Montana on it. So as a comprimise you could check North America for Billings or Helena.
