Summer travel

In the summer, the thoughs turn to driving the highways, generally out west. It is nice to see the sweep of the sky over the prarie along US2 broken only by the occasional grain elevator and railroad off to the right. It would seem that all along the hi-line, the summer is one long party. You need to call ahead to get a motel room, particularly during the weekend.
It is not exactly meditation, but it does give the mind a little less to do than sitting in an office or fighting the traffic on the expressway.
